• Independent business owner, local business advocate and media consultant
• Active board member with the YMCA of Saskatoon, the New Community Credit Union, Bus Riders of Saskatoon, and his local school council
• Unmatched reputation for honesty, fairness, accountability and ability to achieve consensus
Born and raised in Saskatoon, Paul Miazga, 46, is a graduate of both the University of Saskatchewan (BA – Political Studies, 1997) and Ryerson University (BAA – Journalism, 2001). He published a city guide (flow magazine) for 8 years and is now an independent business consultant.
As a business owner, Paul has forged relationships with hundreds of members of Saskatoon’s business community and developed a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our city. With his easygoing manner, positive attitude and his broad network of contacts and friendships, Paul has the ability to shape opinions, get things done, and be the kind of councillor Ward 5 residents need at City Hall.
Paul, his wife Olga, and their two children, Polina and Misha, have been proud to call Saskatoon their home since 2011.
When not busy with work and family responsibilities, Paul enjoys staying active and volunteering his time with the local YMCA, the New Community Credit Union, the Friends of St. Matthew School Community and the Ukrainian Day in the Park festival. He likes socializing with friends and family, loves the great outdoors, and can never get enough of spicy food, live events or lively conversation.
